The Department of Radiology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School / UMass Memorial Medical Group is seeking outstanding applicants to join the Division of Musculoskeletal Imaging and Intervention as a full-time faculty member.

The Division of Musculoskeletal Imaging and Intervention is a growing and dynamic section that provides the full spectrum of subspecialty musculoskeletal imaging services including diagnostic MRI, CT, X-ray, ultrasound, and image-guided interventions (ultrasound, CT, and fluoroscopy). We collaborate closely with our Orthopedic, Sports-Medicine, Rheumatology, and Oncology colleagues to provide the highest level of diagnostic and therapeutic musculoskeletal services to our vibrant community in Central Massachusetts.

Our division is integrally involved in the teaching and mentoring of our dedicated musculoskeletal fellow, diagnostic radiology residents, and rotating medical students. Research opportunities and academic pursuits are supported and encouraged on a departmental and institutional level through career mentoring and faculty development programs. Clinical and academic appointments are available.

- 1:5 weekend call schedule, 8AM-5PM, no off-hours procedural responsibilities.

The Department of Radiology performs over 900,000 imaging studies per year, across five hospitals and an outpatient imaging center. Current faculty include 65 fellowship-trained Radiologists, all practicing in an organ or modality-based subspecialty, including a 24/7/365 Emergency Radiology Division. UMass Memorial Health Care is the largest health care system in Central Massachusetts with over 1 million lives in our catchment area.

UMass Memorial is located 40 miles from downtown Boston, easily accessible from the Mass. Pike (I-90). Many faculty live in the immediate Boston suburbs and enjoy a stress-free 35 minute “reverse” commute to work and home. Our department offers a reading room in Wellesley, MA – where faculty who live closer to Boston can work on a regular basis. The communities immediately surrounding UMass offer exceptional schools and affordable housing. The department places a strong emphasis on providing an attractive work/life balance.
