Musculoskeletal Radiologist Faculty Position
New York University School of Medicine
We have an exciting opportunity for a faculty position within the Musculoskeletal Radiology Section at the New York University School of Medicine of the NYU Langone Health system. The NYU musculoskeletal Radiology Section is one of the largest in the country comprised of 17 fellowship trained musculoskeletal radiologists and 5 PGY-6 fellows.
The MSK section provides diagnostic and interventional services for four hospitals (NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital (formerly known as the Hospital for Joint Diseases (HJD)), NYU Tisch Hospital, NYU Lutheran Hospital, and Bellevue Medical Center) as well as several outpatient centers, including the NYU Langone Orthopedic Center, one of the largest outpatient musculoskeletal facilities in the nation. These facilities provide a tremendous wealth of clinical material encompassing all of the major areas within musculoskeletal radiology.
In particular, the Langone Orthopedic Hospital is the second largest specialty orthopedic hospital in the United States, and has the largest orthopedic residency program in the country. Greater than 200,000 imaging studies are performed and interpreted a year. An active musculoskeletal interventional program includes spine procedures, arthrograms, therapeutic injections, biopsies and ablations using fluoroscopy, CT and US guidance.
The NYU Department of Radiology and its residency program share a reputation as world renowned leaders in research, clinical excellence and education. The NYU Center for Biomedical Imaging provides access to a 7T MRI scanner, an MR-PET scanner, two research 3T scanners, as well as state-of-the art dual energy CT scanners and ultrasound equipment to facilitate ample research opportunities for the interested candidate. Additionally, we have highly active comparative effectiveness and artificial intelligence research programs, including a close collaboration with Facebook and other industry partners.
The successful candidate will have an M.D. degree with American College of Radiology Board Certification, and dedicated fellowship training in musucloskeletal imaging. The position will require doing musculoskeletal ultrasound and procedures.
