UMass Memorial is located 40 miles from downtown Boston, easily accessible from the Mass. Pike. Many faculty live in the immediate Boston suburbs where they enjoy a stress and traffic-free 35 minutes “reverse” commute to work and home. Our department offers a reading-room in Wellesley, MA – where faculty who live closer to Boston can work on a regular basis.
