The Pipeline & Outreach Committee is excited to present ‘An Introduction to Musculoskeletal Radiology’, targeted at undergraduate and medical students with the goal of augmenting early exposure to our field. Kindly share the information below with your Radiology Interest Groups or other interested parties.
Musculoskeletal radiology is an exciting subspecialty field in radiology which focuses on the bones, joints and muscles of the body. Consequently, musculoskeletal radiologists interpret imaging for a wide range of patients – from pediatrics to elite athletes to the elderly. We help orthopedic surgeons, orthopedic oncologists, rheumatologists, emergency physicians, sports medicine physicians, and physiatrists, among others, care for their patients. We interpret radiographic, ultrasound, CT, and MR images of fractures, painful joints, bone tumors, and more. We also use imaging as a guide for joint and spine injections, and as a guide for bone tumor and soft tissue mass biopsies and ablations. Sound interesting?
Come join us for 50 minutes as we physicians share more of what we do in a virtual session via Zoom on Thursday, April 30th from 7:30pm ET to 8:20pm ET. There will be a brief introductory didactic for the first 25 minutes, followed by a small-group opportunity for questions for 20 minutes, and closing of the event as a single group for the last 5 minutes.
