SSR 2024 Annual Meeting Abstract Guidelines

Invitation to Participate
The Society of Skeletal Radiology (SSR) invites Full, International, Emeritus, and Members-In-Training (MIT) Members and Radiology Residents only to submit abstracts to be considered for presentation at the 2024 SSR Annual Meeting.
Abstract Guidelines
The recommended abstract length is between 250 and 300 words, excluding the title and authors' names. Abstract titles should be descriptive (200 characters or less). Please include Images with your abstract; images must be smaller than 525 x 343 pixels.The image should be no more than 5 inches wide x 7 inches tall. Files must be less than 50MB. Allowed file types: jpg jpeg png tiff. The submitting author will receive an email message confirming the receipt of the abstract. Please notify your co-authors that the confirmation was received.
Procedures and Deadlines
- All abstracts must be received by September 29, 2023. Abstracts are approved for presentation (15 minutes total; 8 min presentation, 7 min questions/discussion) and inclusion in the annual scientific program at the recommendation of the 2024 Program Committee. Residents will have 6-minute presentations.
- Disclosures for ALL authors/co-authors is required within the submission form as well as their institutions, city, state, country, etc.
- Designation of abstract “Presenting Author”. Changes to designated “presenting authors” after acceptance are NOT allowed except in special circumstances if approved by Program Chair.
- ALL MIT MEMBER PRESENTATIONS REQUIRE THE SPONSORING SSR MEMBER TO BE PRESENT. RESIDENT PRESENTATIONS DO NOT REQUIRE THAT THE SSR SPONSOR BE PRESENT.
- MIT Abstract submissions will only be considered if the MIT application has been approved or submitted by the abstract deadline.
- Radiology Residents are welcome to submit abstracts for the special resident session. First author/presenter must be a radiology resident in good standing at an accredited residency program. Resident abstracts do not require a sponsoring SSR member to be present during the abstract presentation. Please use the Radiology Resident Submission Category.
- Please only include authors and institutional names in the specified fields within the abstract submission forms. All abstracts are reviewed in a blinded fashion, as such, please DO NOT include author names or institutions within the abstract text.
- Abstracts are approved for inclusion in the program by the SSR Executive Committee upon recommendation by the Program Committee.
- Announcements of approved papers will be made at the beginning of November.
- ALL presenters must be SSR members in good standing and pay the registration fee for the meeting.
- Complete instructions for speaker and paper presentation will be provided upon notification of a paper’s acceptance.
Young Investigator Travel Award
(application deadline – Friday, September 29, 2023)
Eligibility Categories:
- SSR members in good standing who are within 5 years of completing fellowship or equivalent training.
- SSR MIT members with the approval of their program director.
Note: You must be submitting an abstract for presentation at the 2024 annual meeting and may not have previously received this award.
