Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, AZ seeks a board certified, fellowship trained Musculoskeletal (MSK) Radiologist who desires an advanced clinical practice. Our section consists of 5 MSK radiologists practicing in all modalities, including MRI, CT, ultrasound, and MSK related procedures with clinical care our priority. This 100% MSK position offers abundant opportunities for research and multidisciplinary collaboration with a collegial team of dedicated and talented physicians and staff. It is the expectation that the candidate will actively participate in our research and educational programs.
The ideal candidate must have completed a full year fellowship in MSK imaging, and have at least 5 years post fellowship MSK imaging experience with more than 80% of time devoted to MSK imaging. They must have substantial experience with MSK ultrasound and sports imaging. Their record should include strong clinical credentials, a record of excellence in radiology education, proficiency in MSK procedures (including ultrasound guided), and examples of collaborating with colleagues from other departments to include Orthopedic Surgery, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Rheumatology, Oncology, and Pathology. Experience in tumor imaging and spine procedures is also welcomed.
A new sports medicine facility opened in 2018 with further expansion planned. Mayo Clinic Arizona is also in the midst of the “Arizona. Bold. Forward.” campaign, a nearly $750 million expansion that will double the size of the Phoenix campus resulting in 375 in-patient beds and an additional 1.4 million square feet.
Mayo Clinic Arizona offers 2 MSK radiology fellowship positions annually and has a top ranked radiology residency program. The division of MSK radiology is supported by strong allied health and administrative support with the department consisting of 50 radiologists, 5 physicists, 16 residents and 6 fellows. License or Certification
Board eligible or board certified through the American Boards of Radiology with a fellowship completed in MSK. 5 years of practice experience is preferred.
