The Department of Radiology at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center is seeking applicants for a full time Radiologist specialized in Musculoskeletal Imaging. This is a faculty position that will report to the Chair of the department.
The successful candidates will provide coverage in all aspects of Musculoskeletal Imaging. Additionally, willingness and experience in another area of specialty (i.e. breast imaging, cardiothoracic, ER) would be beneficial. Optimal candidates will have academic/publications experience and interest.
The position is responsible for mentoring and teaching medical students and residents. Most daily clinical assignments involve resident supervision. Participation in Musculoskeletal Imaging resident didactic education is expected. Faculty are also expected to be engaged in clinical research or other appropriate scholarly activities.
The Department of Radiology services the University of New Mexico Hospital which is a 580-bed, Level 1 Trauma, Tertiary Care, NCI Cancer Center; the 320-bed VAMC; and a 71-bed Regional hospital.

- MD or equivalent
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. (this is not a Visa opportunity)
- Board certified or Board eligible in Radiology by date of hire
- Eligible for State of New Mexico Medical License
- Additional training or experience in Musculoskeletal Imaging
- Previous academic and radiology teaching experience preferred.
