Clinical Training Offered: 

Radiography, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Arthrography, Joint Aspirations, Image guided interventional procedures including tumor and soft tissue biopsies and therapeutic procedures, Musculoskeletal ultrasonography (interventional and diagnostic), Trauma imaging and active Sports Medicine and Orthopedic oncology programs.

Multidisciplinary conferences. Research opportunities abound. The Musculoskeletal Imaging Fellowship at the University of Miami offers training in diagnostic radiography, MRI, CT and ultrasound. Fellows are exposed to multimodality cases in sports medicine, rheumatology, peripheral nerve imaging, trauma, and musculoskeletal oncology. Procedures include CT, MRI, ultrasound guided interventional and diagnostic procedures including joint aspirations, joint injections, arthrography, and soft tissue and bone tumor biopsies. The service has an active Sports Medicine component with close interaction with both major league and college athletics. The University is an active tertiary referral center for soft tissue and bone tumors in the South Florida area. There is close daily interaction with the Orthopedic Department and ample opportunities for research and publication. There are multiple 1.5 T and 3.0T MR Scanners on campus and at outpatient clinics across South Florida. The University of Miami is affiliated with Jackson Memorial Hospital, a 1,550 bed major teaching hospital with an active trauma service. Successful completion of an ACGME accredited radiology residency and a Florida license or eligibility for a Florida license is required for the fellowship position.Candidates must be Board eligible and must have completed training in an ACGME Approved residency program and have a Florida license or license eligibility.
