Brigham and Women’s/MGH Health Care Center adjacent to Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots is one of the BWH MSK Imaging sites which include: The BWH Orthopaedic and Arthritis Center in the Building for Transformational Medicine on the main campus (opened October 2016), The 850 Boylston Ambulatory Outpatient Imaging Center (home to the Cartilage Repair Center, Arthritis and Sports Medicine Centers), and BWH Faulkner Hospital (Home of the New Orthopedic and Spine Center) . The Musculoskeletal Imaging and Interventional Division at Brigham and Women’s Hospital is responsible for all MSK imaging and interventions at these sites. Other: UMass Memorial Medical Center (UMMMC) is a 682 bed tertiary care facility and the major teaching hospital for the University of Massachusetts Medical School. UMMMC is Worcester county’s only Level I trauma center and the tertiary referral center for central Massachusetts. Over 100,000 musculoskeletal imaging examinations/procedures are performed annually with diverse case mix including: trauma, joint replacement, oncology, rheumatology, and sports medicine. Elective time is available (e.g. nuclear medicine, emergency radiology, pediatric and spine imaging). Numerous opportunities for medical student and resident teaching and research opportunities are available to the fellow with academic support.
