- Fellows choose one focus area (~75% time in MSK or Neuro) and will be given time to minor in another area (~25% time in MSK, Neuro, Body or Breast)
- There will be a two hour read out daily with an attending radiologist; about 50% of readouts with Dr. Pomeranz
- Fellows are taken on a journey designed to increase their knowledge, expertise and speed. Starting out with just 10 MRIs per day, fellows will go on to read 40+ MRIs per day by the end of their fellowship
- Fellows readout daily with Dr. Pomeranz and other sub-specialty attendings. In addition to readout, there are ample other learning opportunities, including:
- Regular Case conference
- Monthly cross-disciplinary lectures with local surgery practices
- Observer time
- Self-guided learning through ProScan’s video and 5,000 case image library
- In addition to clinical work, fellows will also participate in creating educational materials. Examples include bi-weekly case write ups, anatomical labeling of complex joints, the creation of video lectures and more
- Past ProScan fellows have gone on to work in ProScan’s practice and take on leadership roles with ownerships in imaging centers, real estate and other radiology business areas
- ProScan offers the most advanced medical imaging technology, equipment and expertise to the patients and clinicians we serve. ProScan reads over 1,000 MRIs per day for customers across all 50 states, including professional sports teams (NFL, NBA, and NHL). Over 70% of case mix is MRI and CT; we support subspecialty practices (orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, hand surgeons, urology groups etc.)
- Despite our large volume; ProScan’s team is tight-knit, 100% independent and physician- owned for over 30 years. We have no private equity owners, no debt and plan to stay independent long-term. With a global footprint and experienced executive team; ProScan is well-positioned to maintain independence in the face of a rapidly changing industry
- While the Fellowship is located in Cincinnati, OH, ProScan has locations in Cincinnati, Columbus, Indianapolis, Lexington, Louisville and Naples, FL
- ProScan’s practice receives approximately 1,300 to 1,400 cases per day from multiple states and approximately 300 locations. More than 70% of our casework is musculoskeletal and neuro MRI. The remaining 30% is a mix of body MRI and other modalities, including CT, US and radiography. Case mix also includes a healthy complement of breast MRI, prostate MRI, cardiac MRI, MRCP, pelvic floor imaging, and ENT MRI
- ProScan offers competitive base compensation and additional earning potential. ProScan is continuously growing and innovating via new imaging centers, real estate, technology, and other ventures; offering myriad opportunities for radiologists seeking to leverage their medical expertise while achieving their financial goals
